I Currently use the word online. I Use a mac and as an engineering student I Frequently need to use Hebrew With RTL Support and write equations as well, Therefore the application 'Word' is of no use to me since it does not support hebrew like 'Word Online'. So my question is, How do I write equations for word online? Or if that feature does not exist- How do I Use other type of math-type editors latex/eps/text format based to transfer my equations back to word online? Thank you for your help. Hi, As far as I know, the Equations can display in the document as expected in Reading view. In Editing view they appear as placeholders that you can delete but not edit.
They cannot be moved or resized in Word Web App/online. Thus, we need to write/edit the equations in Word client or other type of math-type editors, copy/paste to Word client and then update to Word Web App/online. If you are using Word 2016 for mac, please note following things about MathType, I have copied here: The issue is that Microsoft Word was using a licensed cut-down version of MathType to edit equations. That licence ran out, so they can no longer legally include MathType in their product. Microsoft instead uses the new PC-version of Microsoft Equation in Word 2016. That software cannot edit Equation 3.0 artefacts. I am told that if you install MathType from design Science, both will continue to work.
